Well, for lack of adequate adjectives, Dash Away #15 was incredible! We had a few “day of” cancellations and changes, but it was ok. God had an assignment for each of the ladies who came. For whose who didn’t come, I’m thinking once they start hearing what they missed, they will be sorely disappointed.
This group represented 8 countries making it the most diverse of all our weekends so far. We had Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, England, Canada, Brazil, South Africa and the United States in the mix. These ladies were quite a bit of fun – and that’s an understatement! A good time was had by all, but even beyond the fun and games, they all came with expectancy and they were not disappointed.
Beverly met with 4 ladies for personal prayer ministry. Melinda and I met with 2. We are so captivated by how quickly and powerfully God moves during these personal prayer appointments. We have 45 minutes with each lady, not 2 hours. That doesn’t seem to bother Him at all. He reveals quickly, He moves powerfully. He heals completely. And we watch, astounded.
Here is what some of the ladies had to say about the weekend…
“This weekend has been living water to this dry and thirsty soul. Thank you for making such a wonderful resource available….”
“Dash Away has changed my life. I’ll never be the same again.”
“You need to be doing this all over the British Isles. There’s nothing like this here.”
“I got answers I’ve been seeking.”
“God brought to mind a memory that was a key to breakthrough and forgiveness.”
“I’ve never experienced anything like this before. I wasn’t going to come but I’m so glad I did.”
This past week has been very full as instead of returning to our home base between events, we went straight to Northern Ireland and spent a few lovely days in Armagh. Our time there included meeting and staying with some awesome friends of Heather’s. They have become friends of ours and a possible future temporary home base in Northern Ireland. We also got to do some sightseeing with a trip to Giant’s Causeway, which, I have to say, was truly awe inspiring.
We traveled to Greystones, Ireland on Thursday for Dash Away #15. When the retreat ended, we had a 2 hour drive back to Belfast to catch the ferry, a 2hr 15min ferry crossing of the Irish Sea, and then a late night 3 hour drive in heavy rain to the Glasgow area where we spent the night with one of our Dash Away ladies. Today, we made the long drive from Glasgow back to our home base in Peterhead where we will rest a few days before hitting the road again Thursday evening.
We’re tired, folks. It’s energizing, exciting and fulfilling to be smack dab in the middle of what we are called to do, but these human bodies get weary, especially with all the travel. Heather has been doing an excellent job getting us where we need to be. We’re riding in a comfy and spacious vehicle and we are so grateful. We couldn’t do this without a van and a driver as we have materials and instruments traveling with us as well as luggage and people. It is saving us a ton of travel costs as well.
We will keep you posted as we continue our journey. For the next few days, however, we are planning to lay low, refresh and refuel.
Thank you for your continued prayers. We need them!
